QHS’ health planning provides the best operational efficiency with the minimum practical space; it can be based on QHS’ leading-edge operational policies, or the clients’ own. Detailed capacity modeling matches space with projected patient loads and this is taken through into the equipment planning and quantification for the project.

QHS will produce a Schedule of Accommodation (SOA) and space programme for your project. Functional relationships between departments and services are mapped to create the optimum use of space and the smoothest flows for patients, staff, visitors and materials. QHS will also prepare a service stacking plan. These are then used by the architect in the design to produce a hospital/department that ‘works’.
