Commissioning Programme

The basic approach when commissioning a private hospital is to ensure a rapid, safe and cost efficient opening of services as soon as possible after the building has been handed over from the building contractor. By this means, the owner starts to recoup his financial outlay sooner. Operational commissioning commences many months before the building is handed over and runs in parallel with the construction.

The commissioning programme identifies in great detail the tasks that must be carried out to achieve the opening and the timescales and allocated responsibilities for each task. Given the scale and complexity, such programmes are best done by individuals who have practical experience of commissioning hospitals. That is QHS.
