Pre-opening Readiness Assessement

QHS experience has shown the great benefit of having an independent review of all the operating systems and level of staff training prior to a new hospital taking its first patients. By providing advice on the state of readiness to receive patients safely and smoothly, initial complaints and problems can be avoided. Using a process similar to its Operational Review, QHS carries out such reviews.

The pre-opening review may include a short period as a ‘test patient’, testing the readiness of

  • staff communication
  • HIS systems
  • admission and discharge processes
  • information availability
  • customer service
  • patient transport
  • room functionality
  • catering and meal services
